Layne Redmond is a lifelong student of yoga who has researched and practiced powerful meditations focused on the chakras over the course of her 35-year practice. She is an acclaimed drummer, composer, mythologist, and the author of When the Drummers Were Women (Three Rivers Press, 1997)?an exploration of the lost history of a time when priestesses were drummers and leaders of ritual. Redmond has taught and lectured at the National Association of Music Therapy, Berklee College of Music, California Institute of the Arts, and Esalen Institute.
