Unabridged Audiobook
The author has done exemplary research. I learned a lot about people, events, and technological discoveries with which I was unfamiliar. When in narrative style this book is completely absorbing. It bogs down just a bit when he veers into Marxist analysis, and his conclusion is absolutely ridiculous....which points out as clearly as any counter argument possibly could the problems of theoretical Marxism. As he demonstrates so well, there was, and is, plenty wrong with the ideas and actions of Leland Stanford, Herbert Hoover, William Shockley, and Harris' other villains, the most recent arch bad guy being the detestable Peter Thiel. Despite its ridiculous final pages, this is a very fine book indeed.
