Unabridged Audiobook
I liked the previous two. But this one was unsatisfying to me. Characters change their loyalties and fail to hold true to their debts and promises in a way that felt less political and more plain obnoxious and inconsistent . With few exceptions, character deaths (whether only teased and then undone with magic, or permanent) felt empty and wasted. Maybe there is some point to all that. Maybe the moral is that integrity is useless and deaths don't matter. But that's unsatisfying after two books of buildup for me personally.
