Unabridged Audiobook
I really wanted to love this one. Muddy Waters was one of the most influential and trailblazing musicians of the 20th century. So much extraordinary music just wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for him. The problem isn’t the book. It’s the narrator. And this is what is hard for me to review. I love Kebmo. (Kevin Moore.) As a musician, Kebmo is of of the great blues artists alive. As the narrator of an audiobook… Kebmo is…well, one of the best blues artists alive. Narration is not his strong suit. And while I’m sure this was a labor of love for him, the stumbling narration makes it extremely difficult to follow the story.
