Unabridged Audiobook
It was fun reading the conversations between protagonists of the old south. Especially as the story incorporated football and a small town. The concept of a “southern mafia” is a bit hard to believe. However the story of a dominant family that runs the town is great.
It was fine, but very predictable. Almost had the feel of a true story since there were no big twists or turns. Just waiting for things to play out exactly the way you’d think they would. I also don’t understand why Silas and Tay never got together before? It doesn’t really say. It’s honestly weird that they’re so obsessed with each other but it never says why they never dated. Overall it was solid, but you knew how the story would play out after the first hour or two of listening.
