I usually like Weir’s novels. This one had some irritating parts which may have been exacerbated by the narrator. The narrator’s male voices were often abrasive. I appreciate the idea of trying to connect the two women and tell a story but the women were both often portrayed as overly emotional and borderline hysterical - played into stereotypes. Better ways to tell the story of the princes in the tower.

Excellent like all of Weir's historical novels. Unlike some of her rivals in the genre, Weir is an actual historian and she bases her stories on an accurate portrayal of the facts and the period. This is a very enjoyable telling of a very sad chapter of the Tudor saga.

Perhaps its better if you don't already know the story, no matter what, its way too long. i think that the story line connecting the two women should have been more developed.
