Fifty Shades of Grey

Unabridged Audiobook

Written By:

Narrated By: Becca Battoe

Publisher: Random House (Audio)

Date: April 2012

Duration: 19 hours 50 minutes

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana's quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too-but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success-his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family-Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey's secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

  • Drizia Bolaños

Great writer, great reader. I was totally hooked, looking forward to finish the trilogy through audio books! Ms. Batoe read the book as if were actually listening to Ms. Steele. Animated but not in a exaggerated way and change in accent is very impressive, that makes it easy to listen to.

  • Lorraine Collaso

Great book especially the narrative made it harder to put the book down.

  • Carol Sida

Initially, I choose this book simply to find out what the hype was all about. The narrator is fun to listen to as the story goes on but the plot was very gray to me. This audio listen probably won't make it to my favorites.

  • Carolyn Talbot

If you can identify and empathize with the insipid protagonist, you are part of what's wrong with popular culture. If you want less insulting lady-porn, try A.N. Roquellaire's "Beauty" trilogy.

  • Danielle Cross

I do not like the way it's read, I feel like I'd read it in a different tone. Pauses are in the wrong places

  • Debra Paul

Awesome book, can't wait to listen to the next one. Very well written.

  • Earnise Mayfield

I love it is so good.i cnt stop listening to it so real like it is ABT me so crazy

  • Melissa Barnes

I love this narrator. I feel like I'm watching a movie while listening to the book.

  • Joëlle Belhumeur-Lamabe

I really liked the narrator, she was very good! The book is very good too. A bit "slow" because in the book, three chapters can be one entire day which is completely ridiculous. I am on the second book now!

  • Tina Stadeli

Sucked! Plain and simple. Wrong narrator. Should have male and a female...bad move. And don't even get me started on those emails...OMG!!!!!!!!!! I suppose if you like to listen to people talking about f*cking all the time (or perhaps your trying to learn how), then I guess this would be the book for you. I for one would knock the hell out of a man that talked to me like I was some kind of sl*t! No thank you.
