Unabridged Audiobook
This was SO disappointing!! Gary Webb is an heroic figure in the annals of modern journalism and the work he did in exposing the CIA-Contra connection is invaluable. The narrator is just horrible-a total egotist who brings a very narrow perspective to this story and has one 9f of the most boring delivery styles since your junior high algebra teacher If I had to hear him say "A good editor would have saved "Dark Alliance" once more, I would have given this whole self serving mess a minus zero rating The fact that the fearless investigative reporting of Gary Webb led to the Iran-Contra hearings is completely glossed over and it is also obvious that the author never bothered to interview Freeway Ricky Ross who played a very important role in the introduction and distribution of Crack cocaine and was not afraid to talk about it So sad that this wasn't worth the time spent listening to it
Our federal government was mixed up with drug running. And the reporter that exposes this gets blackballed . A sad story.
