Summary
Available as an audiobook for the first time, read by band members 'Fat Mike' Burkett, Eric Melvin, Erik 'Smelly' Sandin, and Aaron 'El Hefe' Abeyta along with special guest narrator musician and comedian Tommy Chong. In addition, the audiobook features exclusive, previously unreleased tracks, 'Bouncy' (a NOFX instrumental), 'La Pieta' (Fat Mike piano & vocal song about his mother), and 'Young Drunk & Stupid' (live NOFX song from an Idaho basement gig in 1986)
NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world's most influential and controversial punk bands. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and drinking pee. Told from the perspective of each of the band's members, this audiobook looks back at more than thirty years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

Wasn’t sure how this book would be. I liked NOFX and grew up on their music. But often thought of them as a joke band. For shits and giggles. Turns out there is a lot of depth here. Great book. I learned a lot about the band and left the book a true NOFX fan. Thanks Guys.

a great insight to punk music scene, nofx in general, and the grit of living a hardened lifestyle.

a surprisingly interesting listen, narrated by members of the band past and present. there are lots of funny annecdotes as to be expected with a humourous punk band, but also some deep and very honest stories that make reading/listening to the book well worth it

I loved it! I'm a huge NOFX fan and to hear their story from their mouths is so cool! I'm also a serious Blind Melon fan and when Hefe mentions kicking it with Shannon Hoon right before he passed, it made me smile so big knowing them two had a good time together.

First: I am biased. This has been my favorite band ever since I heard them for the first time in 1995. I have listened to every single album they have put out, that I can find. I would not consider myself "punk" but I love punk music. Second: This book/audio book is NOT for the faint of heart. There are stories of sexual abuse, debachery, drugs, etc. I would not recommend this for kids or elderly. Third: GREAT BOOK/AUDIO BOOK!!! Honestly listening to these guys tell stories and secrets they have never told anyone, makes me feel like I almost know them on a personal level now.

This was the best biography I've ever read. Erik Sandin's parts are the real standout. Surprisingly, his sections made the other band members seem almost shallow because his story is insane yet his perspective on everything is, well, profound. The book as a whole has plenty of shock value and gross-out moments. Not surprisingly, I laughed out loud a lot. Surprisingly, I also cried. Highly recommended. Oh and BTW this book is narrated by the actual band!
