I love the BDB. I was in tears near the end. Hopefully Trez gets his happy ending eventually. I really dislike this narrator though. He makes the steamy scenes just creepy & cringe to me.

I love this authors books, this on had me in tears while I was driving. I knew what was coming and still I was emotional like it was my first time reading this book.

I was at a book sale and, for the heck of it, decided to buy the 9th book in this series. Before listening to it, I decided to start at the 1st book.. These are 2 of the best 'just happened to' choices I have made in a long time. As usual, J. R. Ward managed to totally pull me in with "The Shadows". I laughed and then cried like I'd lost my best friend. Next, I went to total dread because I thought the book was about to cause me to cry my heart out again. If you want a series that keeps you connected with all the characters, this is it.

Fantastic book! Cried my eyes out. Narrator does an excellent job pulling you into the story.

J.R.Ward does it once again! utterly fantastic, loved the multiple storylines going on simultaneously. P.S keep some tissues for some parts.
